Reach & Height Self-Check

Measure once, check against 45+ airlines. Stand against a wall, reach up with one arm fully extended (you may rise onto your toes — the open-day test allows it), and measure floor to fingertip in cm.

Requirements change between recruitment intakes and can differ by base. Always confirm on the airline's official careers page before you apply. Figures last reviewed June 2026. Your inputs aren't stored or shared.

Questions, answered

What is the 212cm arm reach test?

Most Gulf and several international carriers require cabin crew to reach 212cm (about 6'11") on tiptoes, arms stretched vertically — measured overhead-locker height, not your standing height.

Can I pass the reach test if I'm short?

Yes — reach is separate from height. Many shorter candidates have long arms and clear 212cm easily. Measure your own reach rather than assuming from height alone.

Is this calculator free?
